Fourth of July Celebration on the Rooftop

Cody and I arrived in Milwaukee on Saturday morning. Dave and Roxy were already there, and that evening we picked up the Purcell Family. With Jarvis, Audrey, Mom and Dad, our family was once again complete! I can't explain the feeling of joy and excitement to be with ones I love so much! We do the usual; eat, sit around and exchange gifts for one another. Mom had the whole Italian works on the table for us, which we are so thankful for! We were also celebrating birthdays (Sierra, Cody, Loren, Dave) and my parent's 32nd anniversary!

Sunday was a blast! Union mtg, Uncle Dennis and Aunt Becky's for lunch, gospel mtg only 5 min away, then to Uncle Dennis and Aunt Becky's again! Think we had a good time at Aunt and Uncles?! WE DID! We had the yummiest burgers and brats for lunch, then steak and pasta for dinner, along with marvelous pies, cake and fruit. The evening outside on the rooftop was perfect. We gathered outside and had a water balloon contest. I better explain.... my aunt and uncle live 4 floors up and they get the roof to themselves. Awesome, but it gets better! We had a contest to see who can throw their water balloon the furthest, waiting for pedestrians, convertibles, and bikers to pass. We shared belly-aching laughs. I'm very proud of my husband for winning the contest, but all the contenders did a great job! We also had a great 360 degree view of fireworks from many surrounding towns and also on the drive home. We were so sad to leave, but I'm glad for everyone who made this a memorable fourth of July.

she may not look Italian, but she sure eats spaghetti like one!

Amber had aprons made for all of us gals

I took this picture of where Dave's water balloon landed. It's the puddle on the ground under the bench.
