Long Beach, Washington

Friday we took the day off work and headed to the coast Thursday evening. It was a long 10 hour road trip, but very well worth it. I think clam digging was the highlight just because it's something I've never done before and will probably never do again. We did some antiquing in town (which I found a moonstone perfume bottle in perfect condition!), hiked to North Head lighthouse, went out for a huge seafood dinner and did some shopping and relaxing.

The guys did oyster shooters. Gag! For those of you who don't know what an oyster shooter is, I'll explain. It's just a raw oyster in a shot glass with cocktail dipping sauce and hot sauce.

(the guys are discussing what they are about to do)

(Cheers!)

Hope you all had a fun-filled or relaxing weekend as well!!

How fun, Rachel! I used to go to Long Beach as a kid & we would dig razor clams by the hundreds!! I think I'd gag too with the oyster shooters!! Ick! Is the huge frying pan still in town?
