Our dream home on the market

........ and it happens to be in my hometown of Grafton, WI! (how ironic!)

Sophisticated stone farmhouse on Cedar Creek offers high ceilings, wide plank flrs, fabulous commercial kitchen w/ butler's pantry, keeping room w/ lg fireplace and French doors leading to a raised porch. 2 Master Suites, 3 large                                         bedrooms, updated baths and plenty of closets. Fantastic family/media room with fireplace and heated floor with walk out to yard! Charming courtyard and stone outbuilding for potential studio/office. This lovely home is situated on 5+ acres.  Built in 1884 $550,000 3,638 sq. ft

Now granted, this home needs a bit of updating and painting, but I'd have an old house over a brand new house any day!!!  You can't beat the character and history.  Reminds me of an English countryside house....  a lovely abode.

I couldn't agree with you more-old houses have all the charm!(also, all the headaches-wiring,heating/cooling,old fixtures,etc...but...I'd still take an old house!)

Gorgeous! Wouldn't it be nice to have a new house (new wiring, etc.) with all the charm of a home built in the 1800's!! I saw lots of these in Europe!
